Every year artists come out with music just so we, suckers for good music, have something good to put our ears to. The playlist grows bigger and having great music added to your collection gives you a sense of satisfaction. Before we go further, let’s get one thing straight to our heads, music is more than just EDM, yeah, go through that line again because the truth has been served.
Now, 2015 has blessed us with some great songs to trip on (no not that trip. Well, maybe.) And it’s hard for us to choose the best out of them but we finally came up with our list of top ten tracks of 2015 that will sway you away! This is our gift to every music lover out there!
#1 In The Night – The Weeknd
He has been called Michael Jackson of this time and we couldn’t agree more! The Weeknd’s music is different, no doubt about that! His lyrics and the music have always got the attraction and love it deserved. There was no way we weren’t putting him in our list of recommendations.
#2 Adventure Of A Lifetime – Coldplay
EVERYONE loves Coldplay, period. And if you don’t, how can you not love something so beautiful? A band that has never failed to impress the fans; their music has made us cry, laugh and scream our hearts out while we sang along the tracks. This one is from their new album, A Head Full of Dreams and is out now.
#3 Lean On – Major Lazer & DJ Snake (featuring MO)
If you have to make someone dance, you play this track. Tried and tested and has worked on everyone so far; we’re saying this becauseLean On is the most streamed song on Spotify in 2015. And possibilities are that you already know this one.
#4 Lay It All On Me – Rudimental (featuring Ed Sheeran)
You might’ve heard ‘Feel The Love’ or ‘Waiting All Night’ by them and if you haven’t, you better look them up and while you’re at it give this one a shot too! It features Ed Sheeran and that’s a good enough reason for you to give it a listen!
#5 See You Again – Wiz Khalifa (featuring Charlie Pruth)
We all have cried to this one, yes, and this time, men beat women to it. We don’t need to explain why. Talking about the track, it was as heart breaking as the news of Paul Walker passing away. Wiz & Charlie came together for this beautiful track and left the world sobbing. Thanks for that!
#6 Watch Me Whip (Nae Nae) – Silento
We learned a few new dance moves and all the credit goes to this song by Silento. After all the ‘whipping ‘and ‘nae nae’, we’re repeating this one because why the hell not? Although, it does remind us of ‘Crank That’ by Soulja Boy.
#7 Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd
With a great song, The Weeknd also gave you another phrase to use when you’re with your better half. Now, we don’t know if it works but the song definitely gets you up and jumping!
Note: Don’t judge the man by his hair!
#8 Don’t Wanna Fight – Alabama Shakes
They started in 2009 and now they’re here! (Get it?) Alabama Shakes have their hands deep in rock and they’re f*ckin’ good at it. Don’t believe us, listen to this. They’ve also been nominated for Grammys 2016 for Album of the Year.
#9 Where Are U Now – Srillex & Diplo with Justin Bieber
How can the list of top ten tracks of 2015 be complete without this song? It was on everyone’s tongue, playlists and screens. Only people who tried avoiding the song were Bieber haters but the music got to them. To be honest, JackU & Justin Bieber actually make a good pair!
#10 What Kind Of Man – Florence + The Machine
From the last album released in May, How Big How Blue How Beautiful, Florence and The Machine’s music has gone up by a notch! It’s more gripping, fuelled by energy and lyrics are insane as always!
These are our top ten tracks of 2015 which are a must listen from this year and we highly recommend them to you. Look at it like a gift from a music fan to another. Peace!
