Day 2 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week was big on flowy silhouettes, sheer fabric, embroidery and gold detailing. Take a look at the highlights of the day that stole the show for us.
The second day of the glam-packed Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week started on a whimsical note with Eka showcasing flowy silhouettes for Spring in tones of white, mint and light blue. Designer Samant Chauhan continued the flowy romance throughout the day displaying summer layers, capes and intricately embroidered garments. Also adding movement to her outifts was designer Payal Pratap with her dreamy collection made out of a colourful palette with dominating whites and woven cut-work.
Virtues by Ashish, Viral and Vikrant took a stand for people living with HIV/AIDS. Their beautiful collection was made with whites and reds with meticulous thread work detailing but what stood out was the first sighting of menswear on the ramp with dhoti pants and jackets. Fashion for a cause was quite the theme on the second day as Designer duo Gauri and Nainika also presented a collection inspired by earth and global warming with whites, blues and greens making up for most of their collection.
Designer Kavita Bhartia went big on the sparkle with separates, maxis, sheer skirts and gold embellished detailing. Metallics and sequins added dazzle to Designer Malini Ramani’s collection with a spectacular presentation of tribal prints and monochromes.
Bringing spring colours to the ramp was designer Manish Gupta with his splash of sunlight yellow distributed evenly amongst earthy tones. Designer duo Pankaj and Nidhi’s collection ‘Vintage Closet’ concluded the day with bringing back fond memories of the yesteryear with high waist full skirts, old-world beadwork, cape dresses and jackets.
