The month of February is all set to offer light-hearted comedies and romantic dramas perfect for Valentine’s Day that is just around the corner. Here’s everything you need to know about the movies releasing in February 2016.
1) Ghayal Once Again – 5th February
Home production of the Deols, Ghayal Once Again is the sequel to the blockbuster of the 1990’s Ghayal. The movie has been produced by Dharmendra and directed by the versatile Sunny Deol who is also the lead actor in the movie. This action drama will also feature Soha Ali Khan and Shivam Patil. The movie was set to hit the screens on 13th November 2015 but got delayed as it was unable to meet the deadline, reportedly due to VFX work. The Hollywood action co-ordinator, Dan Bradley, has designed the action sequences and the movie is now set to release on 5th February.

2) Fitoor – 12 February
One of the most awaited movies of 2016, Fitoor is an alteration of Charles Dickens’s novel Great Expectation. This ode to love is directed by Abhishek Kapoor who also directed Kai Po Che. Starring Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles, the movie centers around a young Kashmiri boy Noor and his lady love Firdaus. The movie will also feature Tabu as a temperamental Begum.

3) Sanam Re – 12th February
Starring Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, Sanam Re is an intense romantic drama directed by Yaariyan fame’s Divya Khosla Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Ajay Kapoor. The movie also features Urvashi Rautela and Rishi Kapoor in pivotal supporting roles. Sanam Re is all set to hit the screen during the Valentine week in 2016.

4) Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive – 19 February
Sequel to the 2010 film Tere Bin Laden, Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive is a forthcoming quirky comical satire. Starring Manish Paul, Pradhuman Singh, Piyush Mishra and Mia Uyeda, the movie revolves around the controversy created about Osama’s death only depicted with a lot of humour.
Run time: 110 minutes
5) Neerja – 19th February
Neerja as the name suggests is an incredible biographical film based on Late Neerja Bhanot, a 23 year old flight attendant who was shot dead on a Pan Am Flight 73; the flight that was hijacked by terrorists in Karachi on 5th September 1986. The movie features Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravjiani and narrates the story of Neerja Bhanot’s sacrifice and remarkable courage that enabled her to save 360 lives.
Run time: 122 minutes
6) Aligarh – 29th February
Directed by National Award winner Hansal Mehta, Aligarh starring Rajkummar Rao and Manoj Bajpayee is based on a true incident of a professor from Aligarh Muslim University. Professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras played by Manoj Bajpayee, taught Marathi language and was sacked from his job because of his sexual preferences. The movie depicts his struggle to find a place in the society.
