We all know that the 90s have been the best part of our lives and not only that but they were probably the best years of anyone’s life. We had great music coming out, there were movies released that you can still watch, when legends died and some superstars were born. All in all, we owe a really big part of our lives to especially the year 1994. Here’s all that went down and made 1994 the greatest year of all time!
#1 Ours and yours favourite TV show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. was aired!
Out of all the greatest things that took place in the year 1994 there is one thing that still remains evergreen to us. Friends, the TV sitcom, was aired in this year and nobody knew that it’d turn into one of the best things that people got to set their eyes on! And till date, every Friends fan can watch the complete series again and again. We’ve been hoping for the Friends movie to come out by surprise but maybe we’re expecting too much. So, we just make do with watching the series over and over. And please, we’re not complaining, well, maybe just a little!

#2 Legend, Kurt Cobain committed suicide
The news of Kurt Cobain’s death left the world in tears. It was sad to lose a legend like Kurt but what hit the fans right in their heart was that he committed suicide. His body was found at his home on 8th April but according to the reports he’d been dead since 5th April. But there have been theories which state that Cobain might have been murdered. Also, there was a suicide note found with his body.

#3 Justin Bieber and Harry Styles were born
When legends were dying, superstars were taking birth, all in the year 1994. Two very famous musicians, Justin Bieber and Harry Styles were born on March 1st and February 1st respectively. Justin Bieber, who was introduced to the world by Usher, has made it a long way in terms of fame, music and lifestyle. He has got a fan following that goes crazy just to see him once. On the other hand, Harry Styles is associated with a music group, One Direction, who has been ruling the hearts of all the girls around you and in their age, that is huge.

#4 Charles Bukowski dies of leukaemia
Charles passed away at the age of 73, cause of death being leukaemia after completing his final book Pulp. He died in San Pedro, California. People who like to read books, short stories and poetry, will be familiar with how Bukowski was a legend in the world of words. There might be quotes you’d have used and never knew that it was him. We’re lucky that we had him to write things that blew us away.

#5 Michael Jackson introduces his bride to the world!
At the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards, the couple made their first public appearance. The King of Pop, Michael Jackson with his wife Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the King of Rock, Elvis Presley came out to the world and kissed each other to symbolize their marriage. The couple got secretly married in the Dominican Republic in May 1994.

Along with people dying and getting married, there were movies that left a mark on people and the year 1994. Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Lion King, Pulp Fiction were some of the movies that came up in that year and made it to the list of greatest movies of all time. #7 ‘I Swear’ by All 4 One was released.
The R&B/ Pop group came into limelight after their cover version of ‘I Swear’ a ballad written by Gary Baker and Frank J. Myers. The song appeared in their self-titled debut album which was released in the year 1994. The group sold 22 million albums worldwide and received a Grammy for the song in 1995.

One of the legendary British bands Oasis, came up with their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ and since then people have been asking for more of their music and there are talks according to which a reunion of the band might be on its way.
