Rabani and Rakha’s collection showcased the perfect balance of chic and ethnic with a modern twist on sarees. The one outfit that really caught our eye was the white sheer and pearl saree with the mermaid drape done to perfection.
Androgyny also made an appearance with designer Vineet Bahl’s lineup that included floral boxy tops paired with tapered pants in shades of pink, blue and yellow.
Staying true to the season’s requirement, pastels made the obvious comeback at Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 16 with Kavita Bhartia’s collection but this time with bold embellishments and in a variety of silhouettes.
Designers Shivan & Narresh concluded the day with their art-inspired collection in collaboration with the kitchen and bath specialty brand Kohler. The collection took inspiration from Kohler’s Couture offerings and was an amalgamation of trikinis, draped trankinis, resort sarees, and bikinis. What’s more, it was presented at the landmark Imperial Hotel in Delhi and made for the perfect offsite show.
